Sanath Vaas dropped
Sri Lankan authorities today officially announced the names of the 15 team for the ICC world Cup. Sri Lank’s former Captain Sanath Jayasuriya, a law maker and the fast bowler Chaminda Vaas who were in the 30 member initial team have been excluded from the final 15 member Sri Lankan squad for the ICC World Cup 201. The Sports Ministry has approved the final 15 member squad today.

The World Cup, which is being co-hosted by Sri Lanka, India and Bangladesh, is due to take place from Feb 19 to April 2. Sri Lanka is to host 12 of the 49 matches. Colombo Kettarama, Suriyawewa in Hambantota and Pallekele in Kandy are the venues for the matches
