An inspection tour was made to the Consular Division of the Ministry of External Affairs by the Deputy Minister Neomal Perera at 6.00 a.m. today (8th). From mid last month, the Consular office is kept open to the public at 6.00 a.m., with the aim of improving the services to the general public and for their convenience.
The Deputy Minister Perera was satisfied with the successful operation carried out by the Consular Division and that the public who travel from far to obtain consular services are benefitted through this.
