Award Recipients of 2010 Asia Media Award Ceremony

2010 Asia Media Award Ceremony organised by the Sri Lanka Mass Media Foundation was held yesterday at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium.  The Speaker of the Malaysian Parliament Mr. L.R.Ganeshan was the Chief Guest at this Function.  The Drum Symphony conducted by the Ravibandu Vidyapathi and his drummers added luster to the function which was attended by local and foreign media personnel and large gathering of distinguished invitees.  

In the Print Media Sector, Janamaga was adjudged as the best News Magazine, while the “Desathiya” Magazine published by the Information Department was also awarded a medal as a nominee for the final selection.  The Desathiya Magazine was also nominated for the finals of the Best Layout Artist of the Year Award, which was bagged by Shantha K. Herath of Lakbima.
